About
I've been working in the medium of beaded loomed jewelry for five years, motivated by a plucky drive to create works that make sense in my fashion head.
Each piece is handmade using sterling silver findings and Japanese beads. Inspiration for designs come from the world around me, and often when I least expect it (such as when staring at the floor of the train platform).
At first driven by the desire to create a unique piece of jewelry for myself, I soon was awash in ideas for pieces never before seen on department-store shelves, excited by the possibilities of color and form that beads offer.
Although the labor-intensive process of the craft has given me many hours of toiling and fewer hours of sleep, the blissful end of a design come to life has made the sleep deprivation worth it.
Based out of Washington, DC, I last sold my work at the Craft-n-Art Fair in Arlington, VA.
